- As of right now, THERE IS NO CURE!
- But the only cure, is to bandage daily!
- Genetic testing
- blood test for anemia
- Alopecia (hair loss)
- Blisters around eyes and the nose
- Blisters in or around mouth and throat causing feeding problems or swallowing difficulty.
- dental problems such as tooth decay
- cry, cough or other breathing problems
- milia( tiny white bumos or pimples)
- nail loss or deformed
these are usually inheritated, having a family history of the disease and especially mothers or fathers having them is a risk factor of getting it.
-1 out of every 50,000 live births in the United States are affected by EB
-Adults over age 50, but mostly children will get it.
It is a rare skin Disease that causes the skin to be so so fragile, that the slightest friction can cause severe blistering inside and outside the body.
